At Fleurant we are dedicated to offering the highest quality floral and event design. We are a fully accommodating floral and design establishment, offering creative direction and event consultation services, accent rentals and fabrication, corporate and weekly accounts, seasonal plantings, and more.
We offer a wide array of designer handbags and jewelry at Fleurant. We also carry numerous other personal accents, such as bath and body lotions, home fragrances, perfumes and scarves. Fleurant is currently expanding its business to include more home accents and small furnishings. We have acquired a new studio space located just behind our current location. It is our intention with this new space to offer not only more unique home accents and furnishings, but to expand on our design services as a whole, for both the general public and the professional designer. Melissa Fleurant received her BFA in sculpture in 2003 from Maine College of Art. Initially paying her way through school by working for different greenhouses and florists, it became apparent that, upon graduating, the various conceptual and material practices that she learned, together with a sophisticated understanding of the principles and elements of design, could be utilized to bring something to the industry that is often lacking in many other floral and design businesses. In 2006, Melissa, along with her husband Josh, opened Fleurant with the express intention of maintaining a continually renewed artistic and creative integrity within an otherwise all too formulaic field. What this means for us, and by extension for our customers, is that each bouquet, arrangement, or event--from the most extravagant to the utterly simple--be treated as an unprecedented opportunity to create something beautiful, personal, and specific to each occasion.

Fleurant is first and foremost an establishment founded on the long-standing collaborative relationship between Melissa Fleurant and her husband Josh. The two have worked together since they first met at art school in 1998. While Melissa holds a degree in sculpture with apprenticeships in jewelry and floral design, Josh has been awarded various degrees, both here and abroad, in painting, philosophy, and critical theory. This combined background, together with their mutual appreciation for all things well-designed, has allowed for a working dynamic that is both complimentary and diversely informed. Today, this dynamic finds its most immediate and satisfying expression through the challenges and opportunities our customers bring to the business. The chance to create something truly unique for our customers, along with the creative impetus and sense of community this allows for, is by far the most important and exciting feature of what we do; it is a chance and a privilege we look forward to every day.
